Scottish Water is in the mix with Westfall Manufacturing
Scottish Water has appointed Westfall Manufacturing of Rhode Island for the supply of inline static mixers under a six year framework agreement.
The Westfall mixer is a fixed plate that installs easily in-line and into which one or more liquid chemicals are injected and rapidly mixed by a combination of alternate vortex shedding and intense shear zone turbulence.
Designed to fit inside the mating flange bolt circle of any piping system the Westfall mixer is available in sizes 25 – 3000mm diameter and can be manufactured in a variety of materials to suit individual applications. If consistent mixing is required over a wide range of flows with minimal head loss, Westfall has the answer with its unique, variable flow mixer that utilises a fixed plate and an automatically adjustable plate that responds to flow signals.
